Things To Do

Thetis is a very quiet island, and we like it that way. There are no malls, practically no shops, no movie houses, or "conveniences!"  It has a small population, and the environment is either rural or wild. Visitors come for just these reasons. View of the harbour from the grounds of Telegraph Harbour Marina
View of a morning sea fog from Moore Hill There are many lovely walks in the forests, along the shore, or even just on the narrow, winding country roads. The views from the hills are spectacular.

There are two marinas, and boating in the Gulf Islands is known around the world. Boat tours are also available, or kayaks may be rented (you will need to reserve ahead). The fishing is varied and as good as any on the west coast, including shellfish. Fishing licenses, tide tables, etc. are available from the marinas.
Riding lessons at the Telegraph Harbour Inn Equestrian Centre There are no sand beaches (which is typical in the Gulf Islands), but swimming is still a favourite sport, diving from the rocks or your boat - the water is usually crystal clear. Scuba diving is another popular sport in the area, and the marine life is rich and varied.

Telegraph Harbour Inn has an Equestrian Centre where riding lessons are available.
